Time: 09:00 – midday.
The Working Bee on Sunday, 8th July 2012 was well attended by the “usual suspects” on a good day following a frosty start.
Work consisted of weeding and planting out what was a fairly desolate bend in the creek near “The Cutting” – on the north side of the creek, 150m east of Pakenham Street. “The Cutting” was once a crossing of the creek prior to bridges being erected. Following our work, the creek banks promise to host an impressive showing of Dianella tasmanica (Flax Lily) – now known as Tasmanica Terrace to those in the know. Eucalypts and grasses were planted out above the bank.
These photos (click to enlarge) show work in progress and two Pacific Black Ducks approving our work afterwards:
The organisers thank all who attended.
