The Monday morning weeding group has made a very long-awaited start to rehabilitating the north east corner of Kalang Park adjacent to 60 Main Street, Blackburn. For historical reasons, this site has been somewhat neglected since its incorporation into the park and public ownership.
The first step has been to remove some of the woody weeds in order to allow the precious indigenous vegetation a better opportunity to thrive.
Plans for the future, including possible routes for path realignment, were discussed by several committee members during a welcome tea break.
