Trees going dotty ? [Updated 20/10]

Six committee members were able to participate in a hazardous tree review of the park conducted on 7/10 by Council park management along with arborists, maintenance people and its contractor.

The idea is to address dangerous trees or branches especially near paths and seats – while retaining habitat where possible (it is a bushland park after all!).

Trees have been temporarily dotted – yellow means removal (possibly not complete), white means pruning. Almost all of the work will be done via tree climbing.
Subject to the weather, the work is likely to be undertaken on Thursday 30^th & Friday 31^st October. Council will erect notices at the appropriate time – some paths will be temporarily closed while the work is undertaken.
The childrens’ playground areas come under a different assessment.
