- We were advised today (7/5/2020) by Council that works have commenced on the new wetland just to the west of Laurel Grove North.
- The proposed works for the wetland include construction of a concrete sediment trap to the immediate south west of Laurel Grove North and creation of a new ephemeral wetland in the damp, grassy area between Laurel Grove North and the existing wetland.
- The outlet of the existing wetland will also be modified by installation of a culvert to improve its functioning. This work may commence tomorrow (8/5/2020). It is very likely that access along the northern track will be impacted when these works are undertaken.
- Works are expected to be completed by the end of June, 2020 (weather and COVID-19 restrictions permitting).
- Neighbours have been advised that there may be disruptions to property access for those located at the end of Laurel Grove North and Waratah Crescent.
- Clearly, access to park users will be also be affected from time to time.
